Eric Zener is considered one of the most intriguing American artists producing artwork today. Zener utilizes a process of photography layered with resins and paints to create an illuminating work of art. The viewer can easily loose themselves in the fluidity of his subject matter. Often depicting scenes of swimmers in a floating surrender or summer beaches he offers a visual escape from life.

According to Zener his work represents, 'our collective desire for transformation into something ideal…I seek to create a sense of sanctuary, often using the figure in water, sleep, journeys and nature as a metaphor for renewal and reprise.'

Eric Zener is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a self taught artist who was inspired by the beaches of Spain on his travels around the world. Eric Zener has had dozens of solo exhibitions across the US. The upcoming May show marks Eric’s first solo exhibition with Foster/White Gallery. Eric Zener’s work has generated an enthusiastic response from the Seattle art community.
