Artists are invited to submit entries for consideration in the Artist Alliance at the Museum 2015 juried exhibition. Artists who are not currently members of the OMA Artist Alliance but are interested in participating may join the Artist Alliance in order to submit entries to the exhibition.

Selected works will be installed and publicly on view in OMA's Groves Auditorium from July 11 through October 25, 2015. An opening reception is scheduled for July 11, 2015, from 6-8pm.

Artists who are not members of the OMA Artist Alliance but are interested in participating in this exhibition must submit an Artist Alliance membership application before submitting artwork through Online Juried Shows.

Artists are invited to submit original or limited edition two-dimensional or three-dimensional work in any media or style. Two-dimensional works must be no larger than 60" in any direction. Three-dimensional works dimensions not to exceed 72" vertical x 40" horizontal x 40" deep.

Artist Alliance is a membership affiliate group dedicated to the support of Oceanside Museum of Art. It provides opportunities for interaction, visibility and growth for artists in the region.

The mission of Oceanside Museum of Art is to educate and inspire the public through a diverse range of engaging exhibitions and programs that connect people with regional, as well as national and global, artists and art forms of the 20th and 21st centuries. OMA operates as a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation.

JUROR BIOGRAPHY
Robert Pincus

Robert Pincus, PhD, has been a lecturer at USD since 1998. Pincus was the art critic for both the San Diego Union-Tribune and the Los Angeles Times. His book, On A Scale That Competes With the World: The Art of Edward and Nancy Reddin Kienholz, was the first book-length study on the work of a pivotal 20th century American sculptor and his late-in-life collaborations with his wife. Pincus also wrote chapters for Manuel Neri: Early Work 1953-1978 and But Is It Art?: The Spirit of Art as Activism and has contributed to numerous exhibition catalogs, including the landmark "L.A. Pop in the Sixties" publication of the Orange County Museum of Art. He has been a corresponding editor for Art in America for more than two decades.
