JOSEPH AND JOHN DUMBACHER

"line-of-site"
The power and raw beauty of a line converge. Line masks, defines and contrasts, the works become in-fill experiments played out on site. Simple gestures are amplified in this natural continuation of the artists’ exploration.
Marks flow with near endless determination. Constructed, light and dark space become bold contrasts of light. Materiality and monumentality of sculpture are referenced as linear sections.
These works each use thirty-three linear feet of wallpaper - a standard double roll. This limitation results in both an austerity and connectivity of all works in the series. Their site specifity enhances the ability for transportation to new localities, with limitless possibilities.
