Continuing through September 30, 2017
Robert Grosvenor began to exhibit in the 1960s, alongside minimalists like Donald Judd and Richard Serra and has continued to make evocative sculptures for interior and exterior spaces. On view here are large sculptures from 1991, 1997 and 2015-16 that combine found and fabricated objects that explore issues of balance through the juxtaposition of unexpected materials — the solid and the delicate.
In addition to the large-scale sculptures also on view are a series of poetic small-scale color photographs of innocuous found and fabricated objects in the landscape that when seen in conjunction with the sculpture provide context and meaning.
