The immensely intricate interplay of positive and negative space contributes to the expressive and dynamic quality of woodblock prints by Mick Sheldon. This new series explores the possibilities of the still life with a whimsical twist. Each print is hand colored adding to its visual intrigue. Mick Sheldon has significantly defined regional artistic landscape. He received his MFA from UC Davis and for over two decades has worked as a Professor at the American River College. His works reside in numerous public and private collections including those of the Di Rosa Preserve and the Crocker Art Museum.
