Montgomery Gallery is the leading international art gallery in San Francisco specializing in nineteenth and twentieth century European and American painting with a special focus on the art of California.

Founded in 1984 in San Francisco, Montgomery Gallery has devoted itself to achieving excellence in the art world. Over the past thirty-one years the gallery has established a reputation as a premier art institution that provides both buyers and sellers with an unparalleled level of connoisseurship, scholarship, and personal service.

Since its inception Montgomery Gallery has developed an extensive global network of private and institutional collectors which has provided the gallery with international exposure and the unique opportunity to participate in numerous art and antiques fairs in America and abroad.

Montgomery Gallery’s reputation for integrity is further reflected in its election to numerous professional arts organizations and its enduring service to the art community is manifested in its many scholarly publications and exhibitions.

For the past Fourteen years Montgomery Gallery has been located at the intersection of Jackson Street and Sansome Street, in the heart of San Francisco’s art and antiques district, Jackson Square. Our inviting street-level space is appointed with furniture by Eliel Saarinen which embodies the gallery’s mission to marry the traditional and modern aesthetic in our art and ideology. Our door is always open and we encourage guests to stop in and visit with our engaging staff of art specialists.
