After establishing a successful contemporary art gallery in New York's famed Chelsea district, George Billis and business partner Kay Reeves explode onto the Los Angeles art scene on September 10, 2004, with a gallery in one of LA's hottest new art districts.
Located in the burgeoning arts district on the edge of LA and Culver City, the gallery resides among some of LA's finest, including Blum & Poe, The Project, Sandroni Rey, and Susanne Vielmetter. This area represents what has become a Los Angeles destination for contemporary art.
Billis' decision to open on the West Coast represents an expansion in vision. While they will continue on the path Billis forged in New York, Billis and Reeves will expand those ideas to find new artists, and to branch out in new directions. This decision parallels the desire for something new and exciting for the Los Angeles art world. Billis will bring his expertise and knowledge, as well as a fresh perspective to the L.A. art community.
